These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of Orbit. By using Orbit, you agree to use the product lawfully, responsibly, and consistently with these terms.
These terms may be updated as the product evolves.
What Orbit provides
Orbit provides software for creating, viewing, and sharing source-backed dashboards. Dashboards may include generated components, source links, extracted evidence, live updates, media, maps, charts, embeds, and source scoring details.
Orbit is an information product. It is not a news publisher of the original source material, a professional adviser, or a guarantee that source material is complete or correct.
Accounts and access
Some parts of Orbit may require an account. You are responsible for:
- keeping your credentials secure
- using accurate account information
- activity that occurs through your account
- ensuring your use complies with applicable law
Orbit may suspend, restrict, or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, investigate abuse, comply with legal obligations, or enforce these terms.
User prompts, URLs, and submitted material
You may submit prompts, dashboard titles, source URLs, and other material into Orbit. You are responsible for what you submit.
Do not submit material that:
- you are not authorized to use
- violates applicable law
- violates another person's rights
- contains private or confidential information you are not allowed to share
- is intended to abuse, overload, or manipulate the service
- is intended to mislead other users about source evidence or authorship
If you supply source URLs, you should have a reasonable basis for using those URLs in the context of the dashboard.
Generated dashboards
Orbit may create dashboard content from prompts, sources, and AI-assisted processing. Dashboards can be useful, but they may be incomplete, stale, or wrong.
You are responsible for how you use and share dashboards. You should not present an Orbit dashboard as independently reported original journalism if doing so would be misleading. You should not remove source context in a way that makes generated content appear more certain or more independently verified than it is.
Source links and third-party content
Orbit dashboards may link to third-party websites, publishers, platforms, video providers, maps, social feeds, trackers, or embeds.
Orbit does not control third-party content. Third-party sources may change, correct, remove, restrict, or update their pages. They may also have their own terms, privacy policies, paywalls, trackers, and content restrictions.
Orbit is not responsible for third-party websites or external content linked from dashboards.
Acceptable use
You may not use Orbit to:
- break the law
- harass, abuse, or harm others
- attempt unauthorized access
- interfere with service operation
- scrape, overload, or attack the service
- bypass access controls
- submit malware or harmful code
- generate or distribute unlawful content
- infringe intellectual property rights
- misrepresent generated content as verified original reporting
- manipulate source scoring or dashboard outputs deceptively
- use the service in a way that creates unreasonable operational burden
Orbit may take action against accounts, dashboards, or requests that violate these rules.
Accuracy and no professional advice
Orbit uses source links and source details to make dashboards easier to check, but it does not guarantee that every dashboard is accurate, complete, current, or suitable for a particular purpose.
Do not rely on Orbit as the sole basis for legal, medical, financial, safety, emergency, or other high-stakes decisions.
Consult primary sources and qualified professionals where appropriate.
For live or breaking topics, remember that source material can change quickly. Early reports can be wrong. Official statements can be updated. Publisher pages can correct or retract information.
Availability and changes
Orbit may change over time. Features, interfaces, source handling, scoring, providers, dashboards, account flows, and documentation may be modified, limited, or removed.
Orbit does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The service may be affected by maintenance, technical failures, source availability, network issues, third-party provider limits, model-provider issues, search-provider issues, or product changes.
Intellectual property
Orbit and its software, branding, interface, and dashboard layouts are owned by their respective owners.
Third-party source content remains owned by its original publishers or rights holders. Source links are provided for attribution and inspection. You should respect publisher rights, terms, and applicable law when using or sharing material.
Privacy
Use of Orbit is also subject to the practices described in Privacy. Orbit may process account data, prompts, dashboard content, source URLs, analytics, logs, and provider data as described there.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Orbit is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Use of the product is at your own risk.
Orbit is not liable for losses arising from:
- inaccurate, incomplete, or stale dashboards
- third-party source content
- external links or embeds
- service interruptions
- user-submitted prompts or URLs
- decisions made based on dashboard content
- unauthorized sharing of dashboards by users
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to every user.
Changes to these terms
Orbit may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of Orbit after updates take effect means you accept the updated terms.
